The iSchools organization announces a video contest that seeks to foster interest in the field of information and promote study at an Information School. Prizes of $5,000, $2,500 and $1,000 will be given for the top-three most innovative and impactful videos, respectively. The top five finishers will also be offered up to $1,000 in travel support to attend iConference 2016 in Philadelphia.
The submission period is Sept. 1 Nov. 30, and the contest is open to students, faculty, staff, alumni, the general public. Participants are invited to submit two-minute videos that speak to information as a field of study or to iSchools as exciting, new programs that educate undergraduate and/or graduate students to solve the information problems of the 21st Century.
Contest submissions will be judged by a panel of iSchool deans. Winning videos will debut at iConference 2016, which takes place March 20-23, 2013 in Philadelphia, PA, USA. Videos will also be used on the iSchools Organization website and through other channels to promote the iSchools organization and the mission of Information Schools.
